I have already written on other pages that I have lost relatives and how I relate that to the particular loss I am addressing on that page. Some of you might be able to relate to this next bit I am going to share and, while not wanting to sound crass or disrespectful, it seems as if some wonder when the next relative is going to pass on because their funeral is the only time there is a family reunion because families, no matter what level of relationship, rarely get together any more. I don’t know how many people have shared this with me and while it is “funny” or humorous, it is also sad. Hopefully, we will be able to change that in the future. – Tobie
Space does not allow for us to have a page for each category of loss under the “Relative” heading, i.e., grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, sibling (even more specific – brother or sister), therefore, we decided to include them all on one page until we see the need to expand them out to a more specific type of loss. Do you have a story that you would like to share of how/what helped you get through experiencing this loss? Please feel free to share it with us.
